Before You Buy

Irrespective of who you purchase your website from, you will need to provide the developer with the promotional text, images and additional information such as pricing and delivery that you wish to display on your website. For ideas of what type of information you will need to provide, look around the Central UK Web Design website and some of the portfolio examples provided. Look at some other websites that offer the same or similar goods or services as you intend to offer.

Promotional Text. You will need to supply us with various types of text relating to your product or services. We will be able to assist with the composition and formatting of the text particularly in relation to the inclusion of keywords for search engine optimisation purposes.

Home Page. Your home page needs to grab the attention of your potential customers or clients and provide them with sufficient, but not too much, information for them to want to venture deeper inside your website. We have tried to do just that with our home page by providing a brief description about what we do and a summary of what we have to offer. The user can then click on the links provided to find out more detailed information.

About or Company Page. You may wish to provide more detailed information about your company, perhaps highlighting major achievements or unique goods or services that you have to offer.

Products or Services Page(s). This is where you sell your goods and/or services. A clear description of what you have to offer together with an appropriate picture or image will provide far more cost effect advertising than other media can offer. These pages would be generated with a ecommerce or self managed website.

Contact and Quotation Page. Both the Starter Web Design Solution and the Custom Web Design Solution offer a contact page which will provide potential customers or clients with various ways by which to contact you including a contact form that once completed will be forwarded to an email address of your choice. The Custom Web Solution includes a customised quotation form.

Images. You will need to provide us with the images and pictures that you wish to be displayed on your website. The images will need to be in a digital format as taken with a digital camera but we will do the resizing and web optimisation for you. With an ecommerce or self managed website, images would be uploaded by you from your secure admin centre. We will be able to assist if necessary with graphic design work.
